An electric oven with a blower is generally used. The oven temperature is maintained between 100-120 degrees. Blasting can speed up the drying of the instrument. Try to drain the water before putting it into the instrument. The mouth should be facing up when the instrument is placed. If the instrument mouth is facing down, the drying instrument has no water stains, but the water droplets flowing out of the instrument drop to other dried instruments, which often cause the latter to burst. The dried instrument was taken out with a pair of pliers and placed on an asbestos board to cool. Be careful not to let the very hot instrument suddenly hit the cold or cold metal surface to avoid bursting. Thick-walled instruments and measuring cylinders, suction filter bottles, condenser tubes, etc., should not be dried in an oven. To dry the separatory funnel and the dropping funnel, the lid and the cock must be removed and the grease must be wiped off before being placed in the oven for drying.
When the small-sized instrument is in urgent need of drying, it can be dried with an organic solvent. The instrument should be washed once with a small amount of alcohol, then with a small amount of acetone, and finally blown dry with compressed air or a blower. The used solvent should be poured into the recovery bottle.
